Over the past 10 years I have worked in a number of respected independent clinics treating a wide cross section of athletes, from beginners and improvers to highly experienced and competitive athletes. Having masters degrees in both physiotherapy and neuroscience has allowed me to integrate a deep understanding of how the brain controls the body and how the body is intended to move with current evidence based treatment techniques.

I have built up generalised musculoskeletal (MSK) knowledge base with varied population groups and ages which is reflected in wide and varied continual education courses I have taken. My extensive experience is in Dance Science and Medicine, that can be extrapolated into other sport and artistic disciplines. This discipline challenged me to be a generalist in MSK physiotherapy while holding onto specific education and knowledge for the dancer patient. I focus on rehabilitation, training and technique support, point support and education and plyometric (jump) training for the dancer population group. I use education and exercise to develop autonomy in the rehabilitation or preventative/training journey and use manual therapy when progress is impeded by restrictions, and I guide individualised health care team development based on disciplines to compliment health and well being. I collaborate with Physiatrists and Sport Medicine Drs to establish supported diagnosis and management plans. Along with the aforementioned I have an interest in Paediatrics encompassing head shape anomalies and torticollis along with Gross Motor Delay, having clinical experience in this. I am particularly focused in baby and toddler years of development.

Since studying Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, I have gained extensive experience in the areas of orthopedic rehabilitation and acute shoulder and lower limb injury treatment and have had the opportunity to work with surgeons and sports medicine physicians in developing various physiotherapy treatment and pain management methods. I maintain a preventative outlook for body biomechanics and believe educating and teaching hands-on skills to my patients is essential to injury recovery. I am passionate about all sports and have worked with amateur and professional athletes in various fields including swimming, water polo, rugby and volleyball. My practice benefits from my own extensive athletic background having competed professionally for numerous years in swimming and rugby. I enjoy an active lifestyle with my family by regularly biking and hiking and have taken up snowboarding and playing hockey in the winter.
