Originally from Ontario, I’m a dedicated Physiotherapist passionate about providing sideline-to-sideline care, helping active individuals of all levels return to doing what they love. My education includes a Master of Science degree in Physiotherapy, a Master of Science degree in Biomechanics and Neuroscience, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Kinetics.
I employ a multifaceted approach to treatment, drawing upon a diverse skillset that encompasses manual therapy, exercise, education, and dry needling techniques. My goal is to empower each individual with the knowledge and tools they need to optimize their rehabilitation and limit future injury. My commitment to learning is also reflected in my pursuit of training in vestibular rehabilitation and concussion management. This knowledge allows me to effectively address a wide range of conditions, providing comprehensive care for my patients.
As well, I continue to assist in teaching and research practice. When I’m not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family and our German Shepherd/Husky rescue. You can often find me on the local velodrome, as I’m also a competitive track cyclist

Since studying Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia, I have gained extensive experience in the areas of orthopedic rehabilitation and acute shoulder and lower limb injury treatment and have had the opportunity to work with surgeons and sports medicine physicians in developing various physiotherapy treatment and pain management methods. I maintain a preventative outlook for body biomechanics and believe educating and teaching hands-on skills to my patients is essential to injury recovery. I am passionate about all sports and have worked with amateur and professional athletes in various fields including swimming, water polo, rugby and volleyball. Tamara completed at four National championships as a provincial team member representing
Alberta, winning one bronze and two silver medals during this time.
She is proud to have represented my hometown of Calgary, as a member of the University of
Calgary’s Women’s Basketball team for five years. I was the captain of the team in my final two
years.
During this time, Tamara was nominated for Female Athlete of the Year for the University of
Calgary and awarded the Canada West Defensive Player of the Year, which earned her a
nomination for the top defensive player in all Canadian Intercollegiate Sport. This same year
she earned a spot as a Canada West 2nd Team All-Star.
She successfully completed her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Exercise and Health
Physiology from the University of Calgary and is now a Certified Strength and Conditioning
Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a
Registered Kinesiologist through the Alberta Kinesiology Association (AKA).
Through her undergraduate experience, she realized she had a love for achieving excellence
and helping others do the same.
Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, wishing you could do more physically with your kids, a
weekend warrior who rides 100km+ a week trying to manage those minor aches and pains that
accompany an active lifestyle, or a young aspiring athlete looking for an edge on your
competition, Tamara wants to help you all.
Tamara continues to strive to deepen my knowledge and skills as an S&C coach by furthering
her education. She has successfully completed a Master of Science in Strength and
Conditioning at St. Mary’s University in Twickenham, UK and now looks to collaborate with top
professionals and therapists around Calgary to further her practical development.
